Reliance Jio again tops as the fastest 4G services provider with download speed over 18 megabits per second in June. The recent reports from TRAI unveil jio download speed is at the top of the telecom providers. Bharti Airtel’s average 4G download speed was registered lowest at 8.91 mbps. Interestingly, Airtel claims to be the fastest 4G service provider as per private broadband speed tests.
Reliance Jio observed a plunge in the graph with the drop from 19.12 mbps to 18.65 mbps. On the other hand, Jio download speed was observed about 68 per cent faster than its rival Vodafone. Ever since the launch, Jio notes the highest speed and the past seven months plays a key role.
The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) collects real-time data about download speeds with the help of its MySpeed application. The recent TRAI reports listing Vodafone average download speed at 11.07 mbps. Idea Cellular which recorded an average download speed of 9.46 mbps and Bharati Airtel marks 8.91 mbps by the end of June.
Vodafone tops in the 3G segment, with an average download speed of 5.16 mbps. Bharati Airtel notes an average speed of 3.56 mbps and Idea cellular register 2.94 mbps. Aircel which is all set for a merge with Aditya Birla Idea cellular has recorded an average download speed of 2.39 mbps and state run BSNL is at the bottom with 1.65 mbps.
Reliance Jio is gearing up to gain a lot more traffic in the coming months with the launch of new Jio Phone. The company is targeting 100 million new consumers to join the network in the next one year. Recently, Idea has also announced the launch of 4G feature phone to compete with Jio 4G phone.
While Jio has announced that the Jio 4G VoLTE Phone price will be Rs.0, price will be primary barrier for other competitors. Bharati Airtel has also announced its launch of a 4G feature phone with bundled plans to curb Jio phone.
